Job Summary
BMW TechWorks India is looking for a passionate Junior Python DevOps Engineer with 6 Months -1 year of experience to join our engineering team. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Python scripts for automation, deployment, and operational tasks.
- Build, monitor, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
- Deploy, manage, and support applications on cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Work with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration.
- Implement and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability and reliability.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to streamline deployment and release processes.
- Participate in software development, testing, automation, and defect resolution activities.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Python programming, Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), and automation scripting.
- Good understanding of Linux/Unix systems, shell scripting, and operating system fundamentals.
- Experience with Git, CI/CD tools, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Understanding of monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack, or similar solutions.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Good ommunication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
- Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Relevant Cloud, DevOps, Kubernetes, or Linux certifications are a plus.
- Experience with Python-based automation frameworks and DevOps toolchains.
- Knowledge of security best practices in cloud and DevOps environments is an added advantage.
What We're Looking For
- B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M. Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, E&TC, Electrical, Instrumentation, or related disciplines.
- 6 Months - 1 year of relevant experience in Python development, automation, or DevOps engineering.
- Strong academic record (70% / 7.0 CGPA or above preferred).
- Graduates from reputed engineering colleges preferred.
- Hands-on experience through internships, academic projects, hackathons, cloud projects, or open-source contributions.
- Relevant certifications in AWS, Azure, GCP, Kubernetes, Docker, Linux, Python, or DevOps are a plus.
- Strong analytical, coding, automation, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
