Position: Sr. Manager- New Product Development
(Seat Device / Mechanisms, Electrical Motors & Proprietary Parts)

Experience: 11- 17 Yrs
Preferred candidate profile:
- B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical
- 1016+ years of automotive component development and technology localizations. experience, with at least 25 years focused on seat mechanisms / Technology products / Motors etc / proprietary parts etc.
- Proven track record of leading NPD programs from concept to SOP in a Tier-1 automotive supplier environment, with direct OEM interface experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end new product development (NPD) for seat mechanisms Development of seat mechanisms (recliners, slide/ track assembly, Advance Seat features Seat pneumatic massager / Ottoman, Armrest, height/lumbar adjusters, tumble & fold-flat systems) and electrical seat motors/actuators seat memory, reminder, position sensing) from concept through SOP.
- Interface with OEM engineering teams on design inputs, package/kinematics validation.
- Benchmark competitor and global seat technologies. Build and maintain the technology radar for mechanisms - motors, memory seat, zero-gravity/relax mechanisms); score and progress technologies.
- Drive the New Technology Integration KPI evaluating & industrializing new mechanism/motor technologies aligned to the 5-year product roadmap.
- Lead cross-functional NPD programs per APQP timing concept freeze, DFMEA/DVP&R, prototype builds, tooling, PPAP, and SOP ? for seat mechanisms.
- Knowledge on Program management ? monitor /Track program health with RAG status, resolve technical/schedule risks, and report progress to management.
Functional & Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of Product development Process - DFMEA, DVP&R, APQP, PPAP, GD&T and tolerance stack-up
- Well versed / Familiar with seat regulatory standards
- Exposure to CAD/CAE tools (CATIA/NX) - Software Operation is not mandatory
- Exposure / Knowledge on Sheet metal / Plastic / Casting tooling development
- Understanding of supplier/technology benchmarking tools
