We are looking for a Senior Backend Engineer who has already built and scaled high-performance backend systems serving 1M+ users (preferably in the fintech).Your expertise will help us design systems that are secure, reliable, and lightning-fast, powering financial services for millions worldwide. What Youll Do Architect, build, and scale backend services in Node.js and Python, optimized for millions of users and high-volume financial transactions. Design and implement secure APIs for payments, wallets, and user financial flows balancing speed with compliance. Lead performance tuning across latency, throughput, and cost, ensuring systems hold up under global load. Set up world-class observability: logging, tracing, metrics, and alerting for 24/7 reliability. Drive security and compliance readiness (auth, encryption, PCI/KYC/AML) from the ground up. Collaborate with product and infra teams to design scalable solutions, while mentoring engineers and raising the bar for code quality and system design. Proven track record of scaling backend systems to 1M+ users (fintech, payments, banking, or similarly demanding industries strongly preferred). Experience with Trading and Financial Ramping (On-ramping/onboarding, Off-ramping/off-boarding)products preferred Deep expertise in Node.js and/or Python, with the ability to work across multiple backend languages. Strong familiarity and experience with Rust.
Preferred candidate profile
What Were Looking For 5+ years of building and working with distributed systems, event-driven architectures, caching, and high-throughput databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL, with exposure to NoSQL as a plus). Previous experience with Rust in production, preferably related to cryptocurrency systems. Experience building low-latency APIs and transaction systems where every millisecond counts. Strong background in security best practices, including fraud prevention, encryption, and authentication. Hands-on experience with AWS (ECS, Lambda, RDS, SQS, etc.), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation), and modern DevOps (CI/CD, Docker, scaling infra).
