- A textile and garment Sampling Supervisor manages the prototype creation process from design to bulk production.
- They lead pattern makers and sewing technicians to ensure samples meet customer specifications, hit strict deadlines, and minimize fabric waste.
Key Responsibilities
- Sample Coordination: Track and manage various sample types, including proto, fit, size sets, and photo-shoot samples.
- Technical Oversight: Provide expertise in garment construction, pattern making, and measurement charts before sample delivery.
- Resource Management: Ensure fabrics, trims, and embellishments are sourced and available on time.
- Quality Control: Conduct rigorous QC checks on finished samples to align with buyer standards and ensure flawless fit and stitching.
- Buyer Approvals: Communicate sample revisions, arrange dispatches, and secure final buyer sign-offs prior to bulk production
Core Requirements
- Education: Diploma or Degree in Textile Technology, Fashion Design, or Garment Manufacturing.
- Experience: 1-5 years in a garment or textile sampling department.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of fabric performance, sewing techniques, and pattern making.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and reporting is highly preferred.
- Soft Skills: Excellent cross-functional coordination, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
