Role & responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and periodically review security policies, protocols, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
- Train and guide security personnel and other employees on security policies, emergency procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Prepare, review, and maintain security-related documentation, including incident reports, investigation reports, proposals, and strategic initiatives.
- Conduct internal investigations related to losses, violations, and policy breaches, and present findings to management.
- Identify, investigate, and resolve security breaches and vulnerabilities in a timely manner.
- Manage and control the security department budget, ensuring cost-effective operations and monitoring expenses.
- Recruit, train, deploy, and supervise security officers and guards to ensure optimal coverage and performance.
- Attend cross-functional meetings with management to understand operational requirements and align security support accordingly.
- Lead and coordinate security staff during emergency situations, alarms, and crisis scenarios.
- Review daily and periodic security reports on incidents, breaches, and preventive measures.
- Investigate security-related issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Prepare periodic security status reports and presentations for senior management.
Preferred candidate profile
- Ex-Serviceman (Army / Navy / Air Force) with an honorable discharge.
- Minimum 6 to 10 years of experience in security management, preferably in industrial, manufacturing, or large campus environments.
- Strong background in developing and implementing security policies, SOPs, and emergency response procedures.
- Experience in handling crisis situations, emergency coordination, and executive protection when required.
- Sound knowledge of surveillance systems (CCTV), access control systems, fire safety norms, and statutory compliance.
- Experience in conducting internal investigations and preparing detailed incident and compliance reports.
