    • Job Purpose
The Technician is responsible for the inspection, preventive maintece, corrective maintece, and safe operation of Crew Training Devices, comprising of Cabin Emergency Evacuation Trainers (CEET), Evacuation Slides, Pool with Rafts, Cabin Service Trainers (CST), Cabin Seats, Inflight Entertainment System (IFE) and Fire & Smoke Trainers (F&ST).
The role ensures maximum equipment availability, safety, and compliance with OEM manuals, regulatory requirements, and organizational safety standards.
Key Accountabilities
    • Carry out scheduled preventive maintece (PM) as per OEM manuals and maintece programs.
    • Perform corrective maintece (CM) , fault finding, and rectification of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and basic control system issues.
    • Inspect, maintain, and service:
      • CEET: Door trainers, motion system slide inflation systems, initiators, regulators, valves, seals, Doors/ARMs/DISARMs, interlocks, annunciations, IOS, Seats and platform structure.
      • Evacuation Slides: Slide inflation/deflation, compressors, initiators, regulators, valves, seals, girt bar, door frame and netting.
      • Pool & Rafts pool structure, filtration systems, pumps, water treatment/disinfection, raft inflation/deflation systems
      • Door Trainers (DT) Doors, Exits, inflation systems, valves, seals, indicators and IOS.
      • Fire & Smoke Trainers (F&ST) fire simulation units, smoke generators, ignition systems, ventilation and extraction systems
      • Cabin Service Trainers (CST) galleys, cabin lighting, PSU, seats, PA/interphone mockups, LAV and crew seat.
Safety & Compliance
    • Adhere strictly to safety procedures including electrical safety, working at height, confined space, hot work, pool safety, and chemical handling.
    • Ensure systems are safe for operation before release to Training Operations.
    • Report hazards, near misses, defects, or unsafe conditions immediately to the Supervisor.
    • Comply with HSE, SMS, QMS , and regulatory requirements (DGCA/EASA/FAA or local authority, as applicable).
Daily Operations & Support
    • Support training schedules by ensuring equipment readiness and quick response to breakdowns during training sessions.
    • Assist instructors during device setup, operation checks, and post training shutdowns.
    • Maintain housekeeping standards in work areas, workshops, and training bays.
Documentation & CMMS
    • Record all maintece activities accurately in the logbooks , including PM, CM, parts used, and corrective actions.
    • Assist in maintaining calibration records, inspection logs, and compliance documentation.
Spares & Tools
    • Use tools, PPE, and test equipment correctly and responsibly.
    • Inform Supervisor of spares usage, shortages, or potential failures of critical components.
    • Ensure tools and safety equipment are returned, clean, and serviceable after use.
Teamwork & Development
    • Work closely with fellow technicians, supervisors, and training staff.
    • Participate in technical training, OEM courses, safety drills, and competency evaluations.
    • Support senior technicians and supervisors during inspections, audits, and major maintece activities.
Any other additional responsibility could be assigned to the role holder from time to time as a standalone project or regular work. The same would suitably be represented in the Primary responsibilities and agreed between the incumbent, reporting officer and HR.
