Grasim Industries Limited is the flagship company of the US$60 billion Aditya Birla Group. Founded in 1947 by Seth Shiv Narayan Birla, Grasim marked India's first step into rayon yarn production and has evolved into a diversified conglomerate.
Our Story
Grasim was established to manufacture rayon yarn and later diversified into chemicals, cement, and textiles. The company demerged its cement business into UltraTech Cement in 2020, creating India's largest cement company. Grasim has also entered the paints business in 2023.
