Amul, managed by the Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation (GCMMF), is India's largest dairy cooperative and one of the most iconic Indian brands. Founded in 1946, Amul sparked the White Revolution that transformed India from a milk-deficient nation into the world's largest milk producer.
Our Story
Amul was founded by Tribhuvandas Patel with guidance from Dr. Verghese Kurien, the architect of India's White Revolution. The cooperative model empowered millions of dairy farmers and created a self-sustaining ecosystem. Amul's iconic "Amul Girl" advertising campaign is one of the world's longest-running advertising campaigns.
