Job description
As a Technology Expert - Voice and Conferencing at Nestl s headquarters in Rhodes, Sydney, you will be responsible for providing deep expertise and knowledge for the product or platform team in scope. You will guide and promote optimal use of technology to support the cost-effective delivery of business requirements within their area of expertise. You will support delivery and sustain of the most complex applications and business capabilities.

A DAY IN THE LIFE

Reporting to the Regional Senior Operations Manager, you will be responsible for adapting and localizing Connectivity products from the global team according to regional and local requirements (e.g. regulatory requirements). Other r esponsibilities of this role include:

Ensure IS/IT Customer and Consumer requirements are met, and service quality maintained when introducing new products. Consider the cost effectiveness of proposed solutions.
Ensure that all solutions within their technology area are delivered and maintained secure and compliant with internal standards and external regulations, including privacy requirements.
Assist others in resolving complex technical problems and investigating the root cause of problems and recommend SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Realistic, Timely) solutions.
Participate in peer reviews of deliverables and carry out formal and informal reviews of technical designs, standards, documentation and implementations.
Provide deep specialist guidance, integration and support in your specific specialties.
Support and influence the technical activity (design, build, testing) in significant or complex innovation initiatives, accountable to the Innovation or Product Manager for the delivery and quality of technical deliverables.
Make recommendations on how to improve the effectiveness, efficiency and delivery of services through the use of (emerging) technology, technical methods and methodologies.
Provide the product team with technical expertise, advising on best technology solutions, translating the business vision into technical vision.
Work with IS/IT Innovation managers, Product managers, Tech Leads, Solution Architects and Business Analysts to ensure any solution within their specificities fits with strategic and technical direction.

Bachelors degree in computer science, system analysis or a related study, or equivalent experience
7+ years of experience in the relevant area of expertise within an enterprise / global environment.
5+ years of experience in leading technical evaluation, implementing and resolving Voice and Conferencing issues, including those involving 3rd party suppliers.
Certification or expertise in corresponding technical fields working with multiple, diverse technologies, services and processing environments in Unified Communications and mixed reality including Microsoft 365, Enterprise Voice technologies, MS Teams , Zoom, Enterprise Video solutions, or other hybrid event platforms.
Understanding of network (WAN, LAN) and cloud technologies.
Highly desirable to have strong project management, service integration and change adaptability to support product and service management competencies.
Ability to understand the financial impact of technology alternatives, financial models and budgeting.
Ability to understand the long-term ("big picture") and short-term perspectives of situations.

Effective communication and presentation skills are vital as you develop working partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, such as service integrators, service provides and vendors across the globe.
With stakeholders based in various time zones, flexibility is essential as you participate in teleconferences and activities outside of standard business hours.
