Job responsibilities:
Hands-on experience in supporting Network Tower Routing, Switching and Security devices primarily hosted on CISCO, F5, Forigate, Infoblox appliance, Arista, BIG-IP Vipprion
Hands-on experience Solawinds (NPM/NTA/NCM), Infoblox, Telenium, Tufin, One Control, Netcool,
Monitor and maintain the required quality of Service Levels
Standardize Network Environment and connectivity methods. Some of these initiatives include site persona creation, ensuring configuration baselining, uniform release across in scope Telecom devices etc.
Minimize voice and data outages.
Increase agility and predictability of network services with respect to the deployed Assets in the AEP Network Environment. Service Provider will achieve this though AMP which will perform Blueprinting & Event Correlation & Pattern Analysis to predict anomaly Behavior.
Reduce risk to the Network Environment, and the business operations of the Customer Entities, through improved execution of software currency and reporting refresh of the components in the Network Environment
Keep the Network Environment secure by applying patches or Code Upgrade and changes in a timely manner as agreed in SLAs to respond to vulnerabilities.
Perform device hardening, provisioning, and updating of user access rules based on AEP guidance. Provide the Network Services in accordance with, and shall support, the Network Environment in accordance with the Services Levels.
Document Network Design, Configure, manage, and operate the Network Environment and the Network Services incorporating redundancy as per the guidance provided by AEP Network Design & Architecture team.
Service Provider shall provide, manage, and maintain wireless access (e.g., Wi-Fi), including access within the Customer Sites and wireless access to MDTs at Wi-Fi enabled Customer Sites.
Service Provider shall provide and manage telephony Services, including analog, digital and VoIP, at all Customer Sites.
Service Provider shall perform, moves, additions and Changes for all in scope Telecom components of the AEP Network Environment.
Assist, in accordance with SLA, in resolving Incidents and completing Tasks associated with Network Services equipment and Network Services software by coordinating with AEP TCOM team for on-premises break/fix support as necessary.
Provide remote support, and when necessary, coordinate with AEP TCOM team for onsite support or dispatch support technicians with operational and technical support to resolve Incidents and meet the in accordance with Service Levels.
On request, to support AEP for all Incidents (P1-P4) that require potential part replacement or on-premises support.
To identify the scope of an assigned Incident or a task and provide operational and technical assistance to resolve the Incident or task in accordance with Service Levels.
Be responsible for implementing the network patch management or code upgrade process and deploy them on a regular basis in accordance with Service Levels via centralized management software deployment tool after getting all AEP approvals via the change management request to the Network End Points.
To perform analytics on the patching or code upgrade data and automate the processes where possible to reduce cycle time and improve quality.
To provide ad-hoc patching as requested by AEP to mitigate immediate threats.
Coordinate a cadence of weekly meetings and discussions between AEP and Service Provider to manage the schedule, identify all deviations to the planned schedule, Review SLA performance, and discuss all potential improvements.
Complete all scheduled patching and subsequent post -validations activities within the end of the maintenance window and identify all devices that were not patched during the maintenance window.
When performing the Network Services, Service Provider to review and evaluate the impact of the Network Services, particularly Changes in the Network Environment, on the other IT Functions and other Customer IT Environment Providers. As part of the Network Services, and in coordination with SIAM and the other IT Functions, Service Provider shall coordinate and be responsible for the end-to-end impact of the Network Services, including Changes.
Proactive Reporting of bandwidth Utilization perform troubleshooting of hardware issues. and Pass along assign task(s) to Field teams or Network Ops teams if hardware replacement, site communication re-engineering, or physical site work is needed.
Support sustainability of security control framework and audit management processes
Service Provider will be responsible for build and support activities of telecom projects. Below are the activities Service Provider will be performing for the project scope design reviews, device configuration, testing or testing support, cutover activities, reporting and CMDB asset update.
