Job description
Recording and controlling the physical records and financial activities related to the corporations fixed assets for book and tax purposes.
Create / Edit / Display Fixed Asset Master Records
Perform External Fixed Asset Acquisitions
Perform External Fixed Asset Acquisitions (via Asset Under Construction)
Perform Additional Capitalization
Process Fixed Asset Depreciation and ensure correct impact of the same
Perform Fixed Asset Revaluation
Perform Fixed Asset Transfers, including inter-company transfers and ensuring compliance
Perform Asset Verification
Perform Fixed Asset Disposal with/without revenue
Process profit / loss on sale / disposal of assets
Prepare fixed asset schedules as determined by the business
Ensure adherence to the Fixed Assets policy framework of the customer
Asset reporting, including reconciliation of the Fixed Assets Register (FAR) for book and tax areas
Tax movement schedules for deferred taxes in respect of fixed assets
IFRS 16 (leases) accounting, including Right of Use (RoU) Asset review and reconciliation
Interest capitalization on borrowings for capital purchases
Forecast and budget depreciation reports for the 30 year plan
Year end activities in SAP Fixed Assets Module (FI-AA), including roll forward, roll back of period
Maintenance and review of asset master data, including update of useful lives of assets based on inputs from business
Oversight and responsibility for asset master data, including review of changes for the asset master on a daily basis and review of asset master file changes weekly.
Adherence to accounting policies for the client in relation to fixed assets and capital reporting.
