Take the product ownership for one of the Body Electronics ECUs for upcoming Mercedes cars (for example: DCM,
Airbag, Locking System, Sunroof etc )
- Development and Series maintenance support for ECUs
- Understand SW HW requirements for the ECU and the System
- Understand Mercedes Development System processes
- Approve SW/HW releases for the products, participate in PPAP, define test concepts and test specifications for the
product
- Coordinate activities with supplier for new requirement implementation, testing issues, production issues and field
complaints
- Tracking and Monitoring of major milestones with ECU suppliers,
- Clarifying Mercedes body electronics ECUs related queries, issues
- Coordination with various stake holders e.g. E/E system partners, purchase, logistics, Quality, car-line responsible, Aftersales
for product development
- Creation, control and maintenance of the product development schedule taking into consideration the process milestones
of the vehicle development
- Create/Maintain product specification documents appropriate for the vehicle lines and distribution/clarification of the same
with the development stake-holders
- Coordinate activities e.g. product documentation, error management, release management during development process
Qualifikationen
Basic Qualification :
3-8 years in Automotive product development
Automotive domain knowledge - Body electronics/Powertrain/Safety systems : e.g. Door Control module, power
windows, sunroof, Interior Exterior lighting, airbag, ESP, Powertrain etc. (at least one of the systems)
Good understanding of ECU SW architecture and ECU functional testing
Understand product development life cycle
Understand OEM tier 1 Supplier working model
Experience in system testing on vehicles
