Role & responsibilities:
Responsible for concept, preliminary & final design of structural (Fabricated & Casting) parts for Wind Turbine Generator
Responsible for drawing creation (Fabricated & Casting)
Responsible for End to End delivery right from concept to Drawing Release, Selection of components, Product Improvements, resolve field/site issues, and Material BOM Cost reduction through VA/VE initiatives
Design Detailing, BOM compilation and Engineering Drawing release through Engineering Change Management process
Coordinate with SCM/Supplier for development of component and implementation
Understand Suzlon specification; International Standard; follow the same.
Maintaining Quality and standards during daily work as per internal & external guidelines.
Achieve deliverables as per given Timeline.
Drive for Team collboration to achieve the desired quality.
Support to plant & site team for component & process validation per development process.
Travel to plant & site as and when required as per development process.
Preferred candidate profile
More than 5 years of experiences in Design and Development and/or manufacturing engineering of structural components preferably in Wind Turbine Development.
Good knowledge about all relevant manufacturing processes like: casting, forging, welding, machining etc...
Knowledge about manufacturing quality management as well as quality assurance.
Knowledge of GD& T as per ISO 1101 or ASME Y14.5
Knowledge of 3d modelling & drawing creation preferably in Autdesk Inventor
