Specialist, Payroll Accounting

MBA/MCom
5-6 years of experience in payroll accounting and general accounting
Display of proficiency in GAAP and general payroll practices
Strong understanding of ERP (NetSuite experience is preferred)
Experience with a "Shared Resource Centre" will be a big plus
Strong written & oral communication skills
Positive attitude, passionate and a self-starter
Excellent interpersonal and time management skills to meet time-sensitive deadlines
Experience in working with a shared service centre
Able to review and analyze a process, recommend and implement improvements
Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel
What Youll Do:
Record net pay to employees, tax withholding payments as required in the general ledger
Prepare monthly account reconciliations and analysis of operational data
Keep a clear record of unrecorded transactions, coordinate with payroll ops and identify solutions to resolve the open items
Summarise trends, acknowledge queries, create and draft reports
Process and post journal records for payroll
Support various payroll and related audits like benefits pension etc. by third parties
Completion of monthly, quarterly and annual reporting schedules and correspondence with global accounting team in US in line with set timetable
Assist in development and documentation of processes and procedures, monitoring of internal controls and identification of opportunities for efficiencies
Ad hoc projects, as deemed necessary
Shift Time - 2PM to 11PM IST shift (Day Light Saving - 3PM to 12AM IST shift)
