Senior Project Manager

Job description
As a Senior Project Manager, you will support the creation of innovative and sustainable products or services
You will help drive large, critical, and time-sensitive program initiatives, collaborating with stakeholders of various cross-functional teams across the US and India
Your role will include planning, tracking, reporting and managing the timely delivery of these initiatives assigned to offshore resources
Additionally, you will provide support to the team and deliver value through the use of the SAFe Agile methodology and current processes used on the project
Your success will be measured by your ability to manage resources to deliver business objectives on time while effectively managing risks and issues and ensuring compliance with processes
Requirements:
Over 7 years of project management experience, accountable for leading the coordination of all Agile cross-functional teams across the US and India as they collaborate on programs under one project. Coordinate schedules across offshore teams, manage dependencies and risks, oversee and ensure appropriate and timely communication, remove impediments, and ensure delivery from offshore resources as committed to the project and customers.
Over 5 years of hands-on agile experience setting clear project objectives and establishing a structure for continued success. Work closely with Scrum Master, Product Owners, Resource Managers and team members of agile teams to understand backlog prioritization, backlog planning, participate in daily stand-up meetings and retrospectives.
Strong skills in critical thinking, interpersonal interactions (negotiation, conflict management, consulting, and mentoring), team facilitation/leadership, and presentation/public speaking.
Proactive, analytical, and process driven, with a strong focus on meeting deliverables and business requirements.
Must be comfortable working in a team environment, as well as independently, and possess a strong sense of accountability and urgency in completing assignments.
Clear and concise communication skills, both written and verbal at various levels, including executive communication.
Preferred skills:

Previous experience working on US Health Plan Marketplace projects is a plus.
Ability to support project planning with a well-defined product roadmap to address business needs.
Champion process and operational excellence: establishing process for regular assessment and improvements. Help team with concepts like Business-Driven Development (BDD) and Test-Driven Development (TDD) for efficient delivery.
Change management: Overseeing the Change and Release management process.
Product management: Work closely with product management to create vision, product canvas, strategy, and technology roadmap by collaborating with the team, and design partners.
Grow and develop the team: drive local hiring, onboarding, mentoring and training team members.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or related degree program and minimum 10 years of related work experience (minimum 7 years preferred).
Master s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or related degree program and minimum 7 years of related work experience (minimum 5 years preferred).
Preferred Certifications:

SAFe Product Owner Product Manager (POPM) Scrum Master (SM) certifications
Product School, Product Manager certification
Amazon Web Services (AWS) certifications such as AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner; or other relevant industry standard certifications
