Senior Program Manager who has a proven leadership experience & track record of managing modeling and simulation teams preferably in xEV systems - Battery, charging, power distribution, etc. - Thermal / Electrical / Chemical / Multiphysics
Qualification & Experience:
Bachelors/Masters/Ph.D. of Engg. in Mechanical / Chemical / Thermal / Electrical streams (or) Equivalent
14+ years of experience, preferably in automotive modeling and simulations - 1D/3D Fluid Flow/Thermal / Electrical / Chemical / Multiphysics based performance evaluations for components/systems/vehicle level.
4+ years of people, operations, & business leadership experience is necessary.
Job Responsibilities:
Lead and inspire digital simulation teams supporting for product development and validations - Battery, Charging, High Voltage Wiring Harness, etc. using 3D CFD and 1D methodologies (Fluid flow/Thermal / Electrical / Chemical / Multiphysics). Battery evaluations at cell, pack and vehicle level
Ensure on time delivery and quality of performance evaluations & counter measures with respect to project milestones and requirements respectively
Drive innovations
Drive continuous improvements
Coordinate with various stakeholders (internal and external)
Responsible for people management & career development of the team members
Act as a first point of escalation for all project & business related queries
As a part of leadership team, ensure alignment & implementation of projects/programs in line with organization strategy
Lead cross functional activities & collaborate with leadership team as needed
Flexible to travel globally, based on business need to participate in various technical and management discussions
Connect with Academia and industrial ecosystem
Skills Required:
Extensive experience in automotive Fluid Flow/Thermal / Electrical / Chemical / Multiphysics based performance simulations in an OEM or Tier-1/2 environment - Preferably (but not limited to), expertise in the areas of automotive thermal management, xEV systems - Battery, charging, power distribution, etc., using 1D/3D and data analytics tools.
Good understanding of functional performance requirements of various automotive systems
Good understanding of vehicle development processes and digital product validations
Strong project management skills - Planning, scheduling, driving & delivery
People and business management skills - At least 4+ years in people management as a line manager, managing high complexity projects, diverse systems and business partners.
Ability to drive innovations in process, product and business
Demonstrates good business acumen & strong inter-personal skills
Ability to intervene and resolve conflicts - technical and people
Ability to handle multiple stakeholders and experience working with global/local teams.
Advantage to global working experiences
Ability to connect with Universities and industrial ecosystem
Knowledge of German language is highly desirable
