We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Principal Product Designer to join our dynamic team
As a Principal Product Designer, you will play a critical role in driving the design vision and strategy for our Birdeye platform
You will be responsible for leading and managing a team of talented designers and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to create intuitive and impactful user experiences
This role requires a strong balance of strategic thinking, design expertise, and leadership skills
Responsibilities:
Lead the design strategy and vision for the Birdeye platform, ensuring alignment with business goals and user needs.
Manage and mentor a team of product designers, providing guidance, feedback, and fostering their professional growth.
Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, and other stakeholders to define product requirements and user stories.
Conduct user research and gather insights to inform design decisions and ensure user-centric design solutions.
Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that effectively communicate design concepts and interactions.
Develop and maintain design systems, guidelines, and documentation to ensure consistency and scalability.
Conduct design reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure high-quality and cohesive user experiences.
Stay updated with industry trends, design best practices, and emerging technologies, and apply them to enhance our product offerings.
Advocate for user-centered design principles and promote a design-thinking culture within the organization.
requirements
Qualifications:
9+ years of experience in product design, with a focus on user experience and interaction design.
Strong portfolio showcasing a range of successful design projects and demonstrating expertise in designing complex web-based applications or platforms.
Proficiency in design tools such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar.
In-depth knowledge of user-centered design principles, interaction design, and informationarchitecture.
Experience leading and managing a team of designers, providing mentorship and fostering acollaborative environment.
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and advocate for user-centered design principles.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for creating exceptional user experiences.
Familiarity with agile development processes and working collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
Bachelors or Masters degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), or a related field.
