- Bachelor of Science in Electrical/Chemical/Mechanical Engineering
- 3-8 years of experience of I&C engineering experience
- Accredited engineering degree may be required by specific regions
- Working knowledge of the content and application of standards, codes, and guidelines, including ISA, NEC, NFPA, IEEE, ANSI, and API
- Experience with Smart Plant Instrumentation (SPI), InstruCalc, and MS Office Suite including Excel and Word
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Perform FEED, Studies, and detailed design engineering, analysis, and calculations on more complex and demanding engineering tasks
- Apply knowledge and skills to complete varied assignments
- Prepare clear and accurate detailed design calculations and analyses including design reports and procedures
- Prioritize and organize own work to meet deadlines
- Focus on completing work within budgets
- Clearly communicate and explain information in straightforward engineering activities
- Prepare the development of key project deliverables, including (but not limited to) the following:
- Cause & Effect Diagrams
- Vessel Level Sketches
- Instrument Index, I/O List, Range, Alarm, and Trip Summary (RATS)
- Instrument Data Sheets
- Instrument Calculations (i.e., Valves, Flowmeters, etc.)
- P&ID Development
- Participate in project reviews, including (but not limited to) the following:
- Development and support of vendor packages, including (but not limited to) the following:
- Create requisition packages for basic instrumentation
- Review of supplier documents for basic instrumentation and mechanical packages
- Site support, including (but not limited to) the following:
- Provide technical support to Construction personnel for I&C engineering-related inquiries as needed
