HCBU - Piping Area Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

1. Shall be able to work as an Area engineer for the project
2. Coordination with working engineers, Modellers and Draftsmen.
3. Review and verify Study piping plans
4. Piperack planning and sizing under the guidance of lead engineer.
5. Preparation of PMS and VMS under the guidance of lead engineer.
6. Preparation of technical enquiry specification (MR) for piping, fittings, manual valves and specialities under the guidance of lead engineer.
7. Technical bid evaluation, Vendor drawing review for piping, fittings, manual valves and specialities under the guidance of lead engineer.
8. Checking and Coordination and Inter disciplinary check of Engineering Deliverables
9. Presenting Piping for Internal model review. Ensure Readiness for 30%, 60% and 90% Client model review for his/her Area.
10. Tags Resolution and Closure with Client for 30%, 60% and 90% Reviews for his/her area
11. Review of Inter disciplinary vendor drawings for consistency check of piping interfaces.
12. Interdisciplinary Checking and Coordination for Process PIDs, Vendor GAs, Structural GAs.
13. Issue of isometrics to stress and comment incorporation
14. Finalizing and issue of IFC Nozzle orientations.
15. Shall be responsible for accuracy of Piping MTO of his/her area.
16. Issuing of equipment layouts under the guidance of Piping lead engineer.
17. Checking and issuing of IFC Isometrics.
18. Checking and issuing of Piping Plans.
19. Resolution of client queries.

Key Skills Required:

1. Familiarity with ASME B 31.3 code for process piping
2. Familiarity with ASME, ASTM, API, MSS SP and IS standards
3. Familiarity with Autocad and proficiency in MS Office.
4. Review and approve Study piping plans.
5. Familiarity with Piping material specifications
6. Familiarity with Valve and specialty data sheets.
7. Awareness of 3D modelling
8. Proficiency in 3D review ( Navisworks) software.
9. Development of equipment layouts,
10. Review of Piping layouts and Isometrics
11. Familiarity with Stress Analysis concepts.
