Electrical Engineer

Job description
The objective of the role is to execute preventive /breakdown maintenance of PNG/CNG and gas pipeline network in order to achieve smooth operation of equipment

Role & responsibilities

1) HSE :

Conduct interactive sessions with contractors/contract employee to promote HSE policy

Ensure timely closure of safety actions pertaining to incident investigation, SMT tours & safety audits

Ensure that safety procedures are being followed at site

2) Resolution of customer complaints :

Improve efficiency of emergency response team

Ensure availability of all requisite tools, services and tackles

3) Liaise with internal stakeholder :

Planning- Provide inputs for annual budget and Certify measurements for the contracts/bills

Project Team- commissioning of various asset

HSE Team

Asset Integrity- Take suggestions for deviations from COP at site execution

CRM- Provide necessary information to resolve customer complaints

4) Liaise with external stakeholders :

Communicate with contractors regarding site requirements, instruments, spares etc

Ensure timely receipt of permit of work from statutory authorities & maintain necessary licenses of assets so as to be compliant

Maintain good relations with other utility companies

Ensure timely resolution of customer complaints

5) Breakdown/Preventive Maintenance :

Ensure availability of spares for Preventive/Breakdown maintenance and calibration

Execute maintenance/calibration as per schedule

Ensure minimum breakdown after effective preventive maintenance

Monitoring of repeated breakdowns and spares consumption.

Timely certification of Electricity bills to avail prompt payment discounts

Maintaining Power factor levels at CNG stations at unity to avail incentives in the electricity bills

Ensure the power consumption of CNG compressors are within the benchmark and take necessary corrective action in case of deviation

Execute annual Earth Resistance testing of earth pits at CNG stations

Ensure proper functioning of Emergency Switches at all CNG stations

Periodic Maintenance of HT Equipment

Monitoring and maintenance of Cathodic Protection system

Operation and maintenance of Remote Monitoring Unit of CP system

Ensure network integrity management

Ensure compliance to PNGRB guideline

6) Documentation :

Maintain all documents and asset monitoring reports

Maintain ISO documents and statutory documents as per policy

This job may involve shift duty.

Preferred candidate profile

Full time BE (Electrical)

2 5 years’ experience in Preventive/Breakdown maintenance in Oil & Gas industry
