1. Scope of the role
The Diploma Electrical Engineer at Engineering Services department will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of our engineering services. This entry-level position is ideal for a recent diploma graduate with 1 to 2 years of experience, looking to build a career in electrical engineering within a dynamic and innovative environment
2. Job Profile
The trainee will be responsible for Engineering services day-to-day operations, preventive maintenance, energy consumption monitoring, and supporting for the implementation of various project activities. This role requires hands-on involvement in troubleshooting, data collection, and resource management to optimize operational efficiency.
3. Key Deliverables
Oversee the day-to-day operation of engineering services to ensure seamless functionality.
Plan and execute necessary preventive maintenance activities for service equipment to minimize downtime.
Maintain the day today operations and equipment logbooks and escalate the deviations appropriately. Gather and analyse data regarding energy consumption and conservation to support sustainability initiatives.
Assign tasks to employees based on daily work plans and customer complaints, ensuring efficient workforce utilization.
Respond to and resolve day-to-day breakdowns promptly to maintain continuous operations.
Coordinate with team and supports to executing the various facility and utility projects effectively.
Plan and manage the inventory of necessary spares for service equipment to prevent operational delays.
Ensure effective utilization of resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials.
Address customer complaints effectively, taking appropriate actions to resolve issues and maintain customer satisfaction.
Allocate operators based on daily work plans and customer requirements to optimize operational efficiency.
Communicate unit plans, achievements, and management decisions to employees, fostering transparency and alignment.
4. The right person
Diploma in Electrical Engineering / Electrical and Electronics engineering or a related field from a recognized institution.
1 to 2 years of relevant experience in electrical engineering, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
Basic knowledge of electrical systems, circuits, and components.
Proficiency in using electrical design and maintenance tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with team members and stakeholders.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
High attention to detail to ensure accuracy in data collection, reporting, and maintenance activities.
