Job description
The Collections Manager for Debt Management is responsible for overseeing and managing the debt collection activities within the organization
This role involves developing and implementing strategies to effectively recover outstanding debts while maintaining positive customer relations
The Collections Manager will lead a team of collection agents, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure departmental goals are met
Key Responsibilities:Develop and implement effective debt collection strategies to maximize recovery while minimizing losses
Supervise and lead a team of collection agents, including recruitment, training, performance management, and goal setting
Monitor collection activities and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes
Review and analyze delinquent accounts to determine appropriate collection actions and strategies
Negotiate payment plans and settlements with debtors, adhering to company policies and regulatory guidelines
Maintain accurate records of collection activities and prepare reports for management review
Collaborate with other departments, such as legal and customer service, to resolve escalated customer issues and complaints
Stay updated on industry regulations and best practices related to debt collection and ensure compliance within the department
Provide regular performance feedback and coaching to team members to support their professional development and success
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the collections team
